| Specificity: | This antibody reacts with the b1 subunit of the integrin protein family. The monoclonal antibody reacts with an extracellular epitope of the b1 integrin molecule. b1 -Integrins mediate cell-extracellular matrix interactions and share a common b-subunit. Monoclonal antibodies against this b1 -Integrin subunit are applicable in paraffin-embedded and frozen sections, immunoblotting and immunoprecipitation. Numerous studies have shown that b1 -Integrins have a distinct and wide cellular distribution and that there are alterations in malignant cells in their b1-integrin expression. Monoclonal antibody to b1 integrin is derived from the hybridoma produced by fusion between myeloma cells and Balb/c spleen cells. |
