| Specificity: | This antibody reacts with b3 integrin including the GPIIIa of platelets. b3-Integrins contain receptors for vitronectin, fibrinogen, and Von Willebrands factor and, in some instances fibronectin. The b3-Integrin subunit is a common subunit protein for this integrin family. The aIIb-Integrin subunit is a specific marker for platelets and megakaryocytes and can be utilized for this purpose in various immunological techniques. Monoclonal antibodies against the b3-Integrin subunits and the aIIb-Integrin subunit can be used in immunoblotting, immunoprecipitation and immunostaining experiments. Monoclonal antibody to b3 integrin is derived from the hybridoma produced by fusion between myeloma cells and Balb/c spleen cells. |
